Nascar Weekend 2009 (Nov)

Wow....well we had family come down from KY and then the Rowan side of the family came out to spend the day at the Truck races at Texas Motor Speedway. Claude and Debbie; Tom and Sheila all came out to spend the day with us. We had a great time!! We took MaKenna out there during the day. I was really nervous about taking her. The cars are really loud and it was rather hot on Friday. At first she did not know what to think. We bought her some ear muffs to block out the sound, but she could not hear us talk to her, so she was a little weirded out. But when we got to the seats she LOVED IT. She would watch the car go by and then clap as it passed our seats. It was too cute. I'm really glad we got to take her with us. We had a neighbor babysit for the Truck races that night. Lee and Joyce had come down to visit for the weekend, so we had to live it up all in a few nights. They had not met MaKenna yet, so it was nice for them to get to know her. We had a great time talking, catching up and making our own memories. We had a VERY busy weekend.
